One of the first big reinforced concrete buildings of Switzerland.
1899-1900 by Pfleghard & Haefeli though the initiative of Willem Jan Holsboer; renovated and expanded. Engineers Froté & Westermann. The system of the flat roof with drainage into the interior of the house later became ground-breaking for the constructions of Gaberel. Architecture under the influence of a melting down of various influences: late-classical complex with solariums in the Swiss wood (chalet) style, floor plan of the social rooms influenced by the English country manor, Art Nouveau decoration incorporating the regional Sgrafitto technique.
