The Quader Green was used in the 19th century for cattle markets and festivals. Building concept and plans for the Upper Quader area 1907 and 1912 by Schäfer & Risch. Unique, generously conceived green with a double row of trees. Buildings around the green by the same architects include:
Neo-classical gate-house – built to include the box office and the rest rooms for the Grisonian Industry and Trade Exhibition of 1913.
Former residence (Rohanstrasse Nr. 5), which housed the Department for Tourism and Sport during the above mentioned exhibition.
On the third side, the massive Quader School House, built 1913-1914, Sgraffito and architectural sculpturing by Wilhelm Schwerzmann.
